AEDIVE has welcomed Car-Bus.net as its Associated Member number 53 which has meant the enlargement of the association to a new business field such as electric Microbuses.
Located in the province of Barcelona, Car-Bus.net manufactures microbuses up to 22 seats on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis.
In addition to cooperating on the LIVE Platform (a public-private venture for promoting sustainable mobility in Catalonia), Car-Bus.net has focused between 2012 and 2013 on investing on sustainable mobility and in the 2014 edition of FIAA, the International Bus and Coach Trade Fair, organised by IFEMA in Madrid, the company released the Wolta, a 6-metre long urban 100% electric microbus which was developed in cooperation with the Italian engineering company Rampini. This vehicle is currently being tested by several transport operators in the province of Barcelona.
Moreover, Car-Bus.net is working to convert an ICE microbus into a 100% electric one.
Through this important membership, AEDIVE not only increases its volume of industrial representation of electric vehicle manufacturers in Spain but also expands to a new and promising market segment-the electric microbus- its business activity.
